Prairie Heating & Air was founded in 2024 by Taylor Holt, a seasoned HVAC professional with more than 12 years of hands-on experience in heating, cooling, and refrigeration. Before starting Prairie, Taylor worked across every corner of the trade, from residential tune-ups and retrofits to large-scale commercial and government projects.
His career includes major work for the University of Idaho, Community Action Partnership, and Kootenai County facilities, where precision, reliability, and performance weren’t optional, they were the standard. That same mindset now drives everything we do at Prairie Heating & Air.
When Taylor founded the company, his goal was simple: to bring big-company skill and small-town care together under one roof.
Today, that balance defines who we are and how we serve our community.
Certified Expertise You Can Trust
Taylor is a NATE-certified HVAC professional and holds active mechanical licenses in both Idaho and Washington. He’s also a certified Gas Fitter, trained through Gastite for safe and efficient gas piping installation.
Every technician on our team carries EPA Section 608 certification, which ensures proper refrigerant handling and environmental responsibility. Taylor has also completed advanced factory training with Carrier and other leading manufacturers, specializing in modulating and high-efficiency systems designed for comfort and energy savings.
We take ongoing training seriously because the technology never stops evolving, and neither should we. Whether it’s a basic furnace install or a high-performance heat pump retrofit, our team approaches every project with precision, safety, and long-term reliability in mind.
